Petit Planet is a free download. That does not mean every optional item or feature is free: the mobile store listings disclose in-app purchases, and Google Play identifies purchases that include random items. The public launch is scheduled for December 4, 2026.
No complete launch shop price list, premium-currency exchange rate, or probability table is established here. There is therefore no verified total price for “buying everything” or completing a particular paid collection.
The price questions have different answers
| Question | What is established |
|---|---|
| Must you buy the base download | The game is advertised as a free download. |
| Are optional purchases disclosed | Yes, on the mobile listings. |
| Are random-item purchases disclosed | Yes, on Google Play. |
| Are exact launch pack prices established here | No. |
| Does free download mean every item is free | No. |

Free describes the base download; optional purchases are a separate question.
The Apple listing displays “Free” alongside its expected December 4, 2026 release. That is the base download label. Read it together with the purchase disclosures rather than as a statement that the game has no monetization.
What you can obtain without a purchase
Over 1,000 clothing and furniture items can be earned through regular gameplay. This gives free play a confirmed range of customization items; it does not mean every outfit, furniture set, or random reward is free.
The announced launch rewards also include free Starsea Call currencies:
| Route | Announced free reward | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Special Program code PTPL1204 | Curio Sea Whistle ×10 | Redeem in-game after launch and collect the PuffPost delivery |
| Seven Cups of Tea Beneath the Boughs | Curio Sea Whistle ×10 | Log in for a total of seven days |
| Planet Growth Rewards | Sea Whistle ×10 in total | Reach the designated Luca Arbor levels through Lv. 30 |
The two Curio rewards make up the announced 20 Curio Sea Whistles; the code is not another ten to add on top of that total. Plain Sea Whistles are a different currency. The growth-reward announcement says they can obtain Yarn in Starsea Call, which can be redeemed for seasonal outfits. Neither free currency total establishes the cash price of a top-up or guarantees a complete paid collection.
Do not use another game's price
Petit Island is a separate game. Its store price is not the price of Petit Planet on PC, Nintendo hardware, or any other platform. Similar names can produce misleading search results, especially when one product is already available for purchase.
The correct product should say Petit Planet, with HoYoverse branding or COGNOSPHERE PTE. LTD. as its store identity.
Why the free beta does not settle launch spending
The Final Beta was a limited-access, data-wipe test with no in-game purchases. That restriction belonged to the test. It does not override the public mobile store disclosures about purchases.
Likewise, a preview of an optional pass or a test shop is not a final launch price list. Features, available packs, currencies, regional prices, and purchase terms can change between a test build and public release.
Pre-registration is a separate process
The official pre-registration campaign lists rewards and milestones. Those rewards are not a purchase price for the base game, and a pre-registration reward should not be confused with a paid shop bundle.
You can follow the official pre-registration route while waiting for release information. Nothing in the current price evidence requires purchasing a beta invitation or paying for a public download in advance.
