Flowers, Plants, and Hair Dye

Quick Answer

To bring a flower home for your garden, dig up the whole plant with a shovel. Picking a bloom gives you a usable flower, not a plant you can replant.

To bring a flower home for your garden, dig up the whole plant with a shovel. Picking a bloom gives you a usable flower, not a plant you can replant. In the Final Beta, a name ending in “Plant” identifies the replantable version.

These flower and dye details describe the Final Beta and may change before the scheduled December 4, 2026 launch. The most useful first decision is whether you want a growing garden or picked flowers for another use.

Collect plants rather than just blooms

Flowers grow on islets reached during Starsea Voyages. When you find a flower you want to add to your garden, use the shovel to take the entire plant. Bring that plant home and replant it on your planet.

The suffix matters more than the color. A rare-looking picked bloom still does not become a garden plant. Before spending travel time looking for another flower, check whether you brought home the plant or only picked from it.

Find flower seeds while visiting planets

Glenn sells flower seeds on other players' planets, including friends' planets and planets reached through Stargazing. Check the stock when you visit and compare the seed names with the species you want to grow.

No firm daily limit for visiting other Glenn shops is established here. A large number of successful visits in one play session is not proof of unlimited stock or unrestricted purchases. Use the shop's current conditions when planning how many seeds to collect.

Keep a small growing area

Place flowers of the same species beside each other, leave adjacent empty space, and water them. In the Final Beta, new days give a chance for another flower to appear; certain color pairings can produce new colors. A visitor or Neighbor watering the flowers can improve the chance.

That is enough to start expanding a supply garden. Detailed color-pair routes belong to the flower-breeding guide. For collection purposes, the important point is to keep whole plants available rather than using every flower as a picked material immediately.

Reach the salon and choose the flower method

Ask Elsasani to take you to the Galactic Bazaar, then visit Nimue's salon. The beta walkthrough reaches it by walking up the steps and turning right. At the dye screen, choose the flower method and inspect the possible shades shown in the palette before spending your blooms.

A flower name and its color family determine the relevant choice; the palette does not let you select the exact random shade. After the salon tutorial, a mirror can also be placed in your home for the appearance workflow.

Spend picked flowers on base hair colors

For the beta common-flower dye route, save 30 picked blooms of the same type for a random base hair shade in that flower's color family. Rarer flowers can have different displayed costs, so read the amount in the dye menu rather than applying the 30-flower rule to every rarity. You choose the flower, but not the exact resulting shade.

A duplicate base color converts into Spellbound Musing Tags. Those tags can be saved toward a chosen base color. The required tag amount is not established here, so check the redemption screen before planning a complete color unlock.

Picked flowers can also be used for furnishings and gifts, making the distinction between a plant and a usable bloom important beyond dyeing. Reserve the flowers needed for your immediate goal instead of assuming a single inventory item can serve all those purposes at once.

Distinguish highlights from base colors

Highlights use Spellbubbles, a separate route. Duplicate colors from that route become Spellbound Whisper Tags, which are used for highlight-color redemption. Musing Tags and Whisper Tags have different purposes; do not combine their balances when deciding whether you can redeem a color.

Spellbubbles had several Final Beta acquisition routes, including the Curio Emporium, Starsea Call, and periodic exchange with Nimue at the Galactic Bazaar. These are not a guarantee that every route will be available at launch or that a particular exchange is always active.

Spellbubble dyeing may also award a Resplendent Chroma Bubble, used to unlock a hairstyle's special Resplendent hair color. This is a separate special outcome from spending picked flowers on a random base shade; its probability and guarantee are not established here.

Preserve rare plants while collecting blooms

Hybrid flowers can revert to a base color; a beta example shows a repeatedly picked Mauve Lily returning to Teal. Keep plants needed for a breeding route separate from your ordinary picked-flower supply, and check the color name again before relying on an old pair. No fixed safe number of picks is established.

Before spending, identify the result you want: a whole flower plant, a picked bloom supply, a base hair color, or a highlight. Each starts from a different inventory or menu check.
